The outer filter screen removes silt and debris, while the inner V-wire well screen provides fine, non-clogging filtration with a high open-area design. 1. Rainwater Enters the Filter Pit
Raw rooftop or ground runoff enters the Double Layer Filter Pit through the inlet pipes.
2. Stage-1 Filtration (Outer Coarse Screen)
The outer cylindrical V-wire screen removes larger particles, debris, and silt. The large open area ensures high flow with minimal resistance.
3. Horizontal Flow Through Gravel Pack
Water moves through the graded gravel layer between the two screens. The gravel reduces turbidity and works as a natural buffering media.
4. Stage-2 Filtration (Inner Fine Screen)
Final filtration happens through the inner fine V-wire screen. Only clean, finely filtered water passes into the recharge well assembly.
5. Recharge into Aquifer
Filtered water flows into the borewell screen and further into the aquifer. A constant recharge rate is maintained due to the non-clogging design.
