The Outlet Collector is an essential reactor internal used to reliably collect discharged fluid from the catalyst bed to the outlet nozzle. Designed for high-severity hydroprocessing applications including hydrotreating, hydrocracking, gas sweetening, and hydrogenation, it ensures uniform flow extraction with minimal pressure drop while retaining catalyst and preventing downstream fouling.

How It Works

In downflow reactors, the outlet collector sits at the bottom of the vessel, either within an inert bed or beneath the catalyst support grid. It captures the product flow from the catalyst bed and routes it smoothly to the outlet nozzle, ensuring even flow extraction and minimizing localized pressure spikes. In upflow or regeneration conditions, it provides reverse flow capability while maintaining catalyst retention.
