
The J-Type Lifting Screen is a manually operated screening system designed for medium-flow wastewater channels where mechanical or automated screens are not required. Its unique J-shaped bucket arrangement allows effective collection, lifting, and removal of screenings from the channel. Built with stainless-steel construction and guided through brass bushes and steel rollers, this lifting screen offers a reliable, low-maintenance, and cost-effective solution for municipal STPs, sewage pumping stations, and industrial effluent treatment plants.
Wastewater flows through the vertical bars of the screen, where floating and suspended debris is retained. The accumulated screenings gradually settle in the J-shaped bucket installed at the lower section of the screen.
At desired intervals, operators lift the screen using a chain pulley block or manual winch system. As the screen assembly rises, the J-bucket collects and carries the trapped solids above the channel. The screenings are then manually emptied at a designated disposal area.
This lifting mechanism ensures efficient cleaning, minimal manual contact with debris, and smooth screen operation even under varying flow conditions.
