What is a Header–Lateral / Hub–Lateral System?
Apollo’s Header–Lateral and Hub–Lateral systems are screened manifold assemblies designed to ensure uniform collection and distribution of process streams inside pressure vessels.
Using wedge wire screen laterals, these systems deliver:
Header–Lateral System:
Laterals extend from a central header pipe.
Ideal for flat-bottom or horizontal vessels.
Hub–Lateral System:
Laterals radiate outward from a central hub.
Best suited for elliptical or dished vessel heads.
| Industry / Sector | Typical Applications |
|---|---|
| Water Treatment | DM / softeners / mixed beds, sand & anthracite filters, carbon towers |
| Power Plants | Condensate polishing, cooling water filters, guard filters |
| Food & Beverage | Carbon decolorization, polishing filters |
| Oil & Gas / Refining | Amine filters, catalyst retention, polishing filters |
| Chemical & Mining | Media retention, resin traps, dewatering, solvent recovery |
| Desalination | Pretreatment filters, seawater intake strainers |
|
Apollo wedge wire internals are trusted by global OEMs for their: • Precision engineering & dimensional accuracy • High open area, controlled slot tolerances & non-clogging performance • Ability to handle corrosive, abrasive, or high-temperature fluids • Full QA/QC: MTRs, welding QA, passivation, surface finish reports • Custom engineering based on flow, velocity, pressure & vessel geometry Apollo delivers dependable, long-life internals for mission-critical filtration applications. |
|
• Header / Hub — horizontal or radial configurations • Connections: Threaded, Flanged, or Welded • Lateral construction: o Screen-Only o Screen-Over-Perforated Pipe (for higher structural load) • Vessel fitment: flat, conical, or dished heads • Uniform spacing for balanced flow distribution • Scalable from small ion-exchange vessels to large industrial towers |
